1 SFTS's North American Harvard (#2648) training aircraft, with an aircrew of two, was on an instrument flying training flight when it crashed near Fergusonville, Ontario, taking the lives of the crew.

The airmen who perished in this accident were-

RCAF Leading Aircraftman Albert Robert BONNER and

RCAF Leading Aircraftman James Rowland MOODY.
